A shunt is a small drainage tube that is implanted subdermally in the head of a child with hydrocephalus to redirect the brain fluid to another location in the body where it can be reabsorbed.
Child-Help procures shunts for partners, and also facilitates trainings of neurosurgeons to do the shunting.
